Auto-inflammatory diseases

چکیده
Auto-inflammatory diseases are a rapidly moving field, where the description of new entities, the understanding of the pathogenesis and the treatment has shown important progress in the past years. This group of conditions include monogenic auto-inflammatory diseases, like FMF, CAPS, TRAPS and MKD, and non-monogenic autoinflammatory diseases, like PFAPA, SoJIA, CRMO, and Behçet. The most common clinical feature is recurrent fever and a pro-inflammatory cytokine, IL-1, is a key molecule involved in the pathogenesis of these diseases. The treatment aims to control chronic inflammation and blocking agents of IL-1 have shown a great efficacy in most of these diseases. The aim of the presentation is to make an update on the diagnosis and the treatment and review the recent recommendations elaborated by experts’ consensus through the SHARE project.

An Update on Autoinflammatory Diseases
Autoinflammatory diseases area group of clinical conditions other than autoimmune diseases, characterized by recurrent inflammatory episodes. From apathogenetic point of view they are determined by a dys regulation of innate immunity, without involvement of specific immunity (auto reactive T cells and auto antibodies). Recently, the increased knowledge in the field of auto inflammation highligh...
متن کاملPrevalence of polymorphisms of the genes responsible for auto-inflammatory diseases among 236 patients with recurrent fever in a rheumatology institute in Japan
Introduction Auto-inflammatory syndromes are defined as conditions caused by an exaggerated innate immune system response, resulting in episodes of spontaneous inflammation affecting multiple organs. The prototypical auto-inflammatory disorders are associated with periodic febrile episodes. Auto-inflammatory syndromes now include polygenic diseases, such as Behcet’s syndrome and Still’s disease...

متن کاملNLRP3 inflammasome and its inhibitors: a review
Inflammasomes are newly recognized, vital players in innate immunity. The best characterized is the NLRP3 inflammasome, so-called because the NLRP3 protein in the complex belongs to the family of nucleotide-binding and oligomerization domain-like receptors (NLRs) and is also known as "pyrin domain-containing protein 3". The NLRP3 inflammasome is associated with onset and progression of various ...
متن کاملAuto-inflammatory diseases in ileal pouch patients with NOD2/CARD15 mutations
Pouchitis is common in ulcerative colitis patients undergoing total proctocolectomy with ileal pouch-anal anastomosis, and chronic antibiotic-refractory pouchitis occurs in a subgroup of the patients. Auto-inflammatory diseases are characterized by systemic inflammation, manifesting as periodic fever, rash, arthritis, and serositis. We describe two cases with ulcerative colitis and an ileal pou...
متن کاملAuto-antibodies in Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unclassified
Background: Inflammatory bowel disease unclassified (IBDU) is considered to be an aberrant immune response with loss of tolerance to many antigens. Objective: This paper tries to address whether there is any value to test for auto-antibodies in such patients. Methods: 60 patients with inflammatory bowel disease unclassified participated in the study. Auto-antibodies to nuclear antigen, intestin...
